Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026Effective: July 4, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules for using Splitroom. It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who accesses the Service.

Violations of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, removal of content, and, where warranted, reporting to law-enforcement authorities. No refunds are issued for accounts terminated for AUP violations.

1. Content you may not upload or generate

You may not upload creative material or use the Service to test, generate, or promote content that:

  • Is unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, or fraudulent.
  • Infringes any intellectual property, publicity, or privacy right.
  • Contains explicit sexual material, or exploits, sexualises, or endangers minors in any way.
  • Promotes or facilitates violence, self-harm, terrorism, extremism, or the abuse of any individual or group.
  • Discriminates against or targets individuals on the basis of race, colour, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, medical or genetic condition, marital status, or veteran status.
  • Contains malicious code, malware, phishing content, or otherwise attempts to compromise security or trick users.
  • Impersonates any person, brand, or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Contains personal data of third parties that you do not have a lawful basis to upload — including, for example, unblurred images of identifiable individuals used without their consent for simulation testing.

2. Conduct you may not engage in

You may not, and may not allow any third party to:

  • Access the Service through any automated means (bots, crawlers, scrapers) except as expressly permitted in writing by us.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, model weights, prompts, or taxonomy definitions of the Service.
  • Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security or rate-limiting features of the Service.
  • Use the Service to build a competing product, benchmark it against competitor products for public release, or resell its outputs as your own analytical product.
  • Send excessive traffic to the Service, use it in a way that degrades performance for other users, or attempt to overwhelm any underlying infrastructure.
  • Use the Service in a manner that violates any applicable law, regulation, or professional standard, including advertising regulations in your jurisdiction.
  • Attempt to bypass, manipulate, or “jailbreak” the underlying language models or their safety measures.
  • Share your account, credentials, or single-seat access with others, or allow more than the licensed number of users to access a paid account.

3. Responsible use of AI outputs

Splitroom outputs are AI-generated, probabilistic, and directional. You agree that you will:

  • Not present Splitroom outputs as human research, primary consumer research, or a substitute for real audience testing when communicating with clients, investors, regulators, or the public.
  • Not use Splitroom outputs to make consequential decisions about individuals (for example, hiring, credit, insurance, or public benefits).
  • Comply with the disclosure rules of any client, platform, or regulator that requires you to identify AI-generated analysis.

4. Enforcement

We investigate suspected violations at our discretion. If we reasonably believe you have violated this AUP, we may:

  • Remove or quarantine offending content.
  • Suspend or terminate your account, in whole or in part.
  • Refuse to refund fees for the affected period.
  • Cooperate with law-enforcement or regulatory bodies where required.
  • Pursue any other remedy available to us at law or equity.

5. Reporting abuse

If you believe content or conduct on the Service violates this AUP, please report it to abuse@satak.tech. Include enough detail (the account, URL, simulation ID, and a description of the violation) for us to investigate.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. The “Last updated” date above indicates the most recent revision.
